Sautéed Broccoli

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Lemon wedge, for squeezing
  • Red pepper flakes, optional

Method
 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the broccoli, garlic, salt, and several grinds of pepper and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons water, cover, and cook until the broccoli is tender, 2 to 4 more minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat. Squeeze with lemon juice and sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if using. Season to taste with more salt and pepper.
